Botox®

Botox® is a popular, effective, non-surgical treatment that can improve and soften the lines and wrinkles between your eyebrows, on your forehead, and at the side of your eyes (crow's feet). Botox®, which has been safely used for more than 15 years, works by temporarily paralyzing the treated muscles thus preventing them from contracting and creating furrows. This effect can last up to four months, at which time you will need another treatment to maintain the results. Botox® has additional uses including the treatment of excessive hand and armpit perspiration.

Restylane®

Restylane® is a crystal-clear, biodegradable gel used to diminish facial folds and wrinkles that you may have developed around the corners of your mouth, around your lips, and from your nose to the corners of your mouth. It is also a very effective treatment for increasing lip volume. Derived from a substance naturally found in humans, Restylane® does not contain any animal proteins, and is safe and gentle to your skin.

During the procedure, cosmetic surgeon Dr. Davidson uses a very fine needle to inject tiny amounts of the gel into your skin, producing instantaneous results. The injection can be slightly painful, so he may use topical and local anesthetics prior to injection. Effects can last up to six months.

Perlane®

Perlane® is a crystal-clear, biodegradable gel used to diminish facial folds and wrinkles that you may have developed around the corners of your mouth, around your lips, and from your nose to the corners of your mouth. Its water-loving nature attracts and binds water molecules to help restore volume and fullness to your skin, smoothing wrinkles and folds.

Perlane® is composed of hyaluronic acid, a natural substance that already exists in your body, and is chemically cross-linked (the long chemical strands are tied together) to delay breakdown by skin enzymes. It is free from animal protein, thus safe and gentle to your skin. Allergy testing prior to use is not necessary.

During the procedure, Dr. Davidson uses a very fine needle to inject tiny amounts of Perlane® into your skin, producing instantaneous results. Effects can last up to six months.

Juvéderm™

Juvéderm™, the newest dermal filler available, is also used to diminish facial folds and wrinkles that you may have developed around the corners of your mouth, around your lips, and from your nose to the corners of your mouth. It is available in two strengths: ULTRA for less intense areas and lips, and ULTRA PLUS to correct deeper wrinkles and folds. There is less discomfort with this product, and you will notice the smooth and natural look and feel it brings.

Juvéderm™ is composed of hyaluronic acid, a natural substance found in all living cells and one of the major components of your skin's connective tissue matrix. Its water-loving nature attracts and binds water molecules to help restore volume and fullness to your skin, smoothing wrinkles and folds. Like Perlane®, it also has a high degree of cross linking to delay breakdown by skin enzymes.

During the procedure, Dr. Davidson will inject Juvéderm™ into your skin with a very fine needle. Effects can last up to six months or longer, but to ensure even longer-lasting results, Dr. Davidson recommends the layering method. During your first visit, he will inject one or two syringes per area. A month later, you return for another syringe. Over the next several months, as the diminished lines and wrinkles slowly begin to reappear, you would return for a touch up and additional layering. Replenishing the Juvéderm™ before it has broken down completely helps you maintain a more youthful and vibrant appearance.

Radiesse®

Radiesse®, a new generation injectable filler, is a very effective treatment for treating marionette lines and the creases from your nose to the corners of your mouth. It is also excellent for cheek augmentation, non-surgical nose re-contouring and jawline and chin augmentation. Developed with safety and longevity in mind, Radiesse® gives you an immediate visual improvement as well as long-lasting results.

Made up of tiny, smooth calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) particles that form a scaffold through which your body's own collagen grows to ensure a long-term effect, Radiesse® is an excellent choice for facial shaping and contouring. Radiesse® will last approximately one year or more.

Like most injectable fillers, the injection procedure with Radiesse® can be slightly painful, so Dr. Davidson may use topical and local anesthetics prior to injection.

Sculptura™

Sculptra™ is an injectable, biocompatible liquid used to fill in areas where you may have developed depressions, irregularities and folds as a result of losing facial fat. It can also be used to diminish facial folds and wrinkles from your nose to the corners of your mouth.

During the procedure, Sculptra™ is injected into the subcutaneous fat layers below your skin, causing your skin to thicken and take on a more youthful, plump appearance. It literally fills folds, indentations and facial depressions, and its effects last up to two years.

Sculptra™ works a little differently than other types of soft-tissue fillers. When most other fillers are injected, there is an immediate filling and plumping effect. Sculptra™, however, consists of crystals suspended in an injectable liquid. When the liquid is injected, the filler will appear to take effect, but as the liquid is absorbed, the plumping effects will disappear. It will then take several weeks for the crystals themselves to reach their full filling effect.

Sculptra™ is composed of Poly-L-Lactic Acid, the same material used in dissolvable stitches and soft tissue implants. As a result, Sculptra™ Injections do not require a skin test.
