Breast Uplift / Augmentation Recovery
Recovery from a combination breast uplift/augmentation surgery will vary from patient to patient, and depends upon the extent of the procedure you have. We encourage you to wear a sports bra, or similarly supportive bra without underwires, for four to six weeks following surgery.
During the first week after surgery, your breasts and the surrounding area will be swollen and may appear high. This is completely normal. Any swelling and temporary numbness will resolve gradually and you can expect bruising to resolve within seven to ten days as well. The results will continue to improve over time, creating a more natural appearance as the swelling diminishes and your incisions smooth and fade.
You can usually expect to return to work within five to seven days after surgery but we recommend you wait one to two weeks before resuming any non-impact lower body exercise. You can do impact exercises four weeks after surgery, but should wait six weeks before you do any upper body exercise.
